I have a fish named Barnabus - he glows in black light and is the coolest thing ever. I have a boyfriend named Sam - he doesn't glow in black light and is a close second. I love them both.
This semester is killing me. Never before have I had to worry about class work, homework, and the all consuming work work in such a high capacity. Do I even have time to breathe? Yeah, I just checked, I still have time to do that. Goodness, I wonder how my friend Marie (who is also a single mother on top of all of that) has done it these past few years.
I guess I'm getting ahead of myself. Hi. I'm Jordyn. I'm 22, a senior in college, and just living life one day at a time. When I was 5, I wanted to be a ballerina (so I walked around on tiptoes all the time). When I was 10, I wanted to be and author and when I was 13, I wanted to be an art teacher. When I was 15, I wanted to be an interior designer. And then one day my mother walked into my room while I was spending yet another summer day in front of the computer coding a website and asked, "Well why don't you become a web designer? You do that all of the time, anyway." When I was 17, I wanted to be a web designer, and I still do. There's just something about using code to create something; solving problems, making designs, adding content - I love it.
I have another blog that I don't keep up with (and I probably won't keep up with this one too much either - busy college student, remember?) which is pretty much similar to this - except this blog is more centric to what I am doing as a college student. Because I transferred in to this college, my credits and classes were all over the place, and I ended up taking my senior capstone class last semester (and you're supposed to take it your final semester). So now that all of my web classes are done, it's all electives and stupid classes like math and science that I have left to take. This semester I'm taking Designing for the Web, Computer Graphics 1, Detective Fiction, Astronomy, and Video Production - so I'll have quite a few projects and struggles to share with you all. The idea behind this is to not only give some sort of idea of what it's like to be a college student, but more specifically a web design student.
Now that is enough of my rambling. You'll find out plenty more about me as the weeks go on. I look forward to getting to know any awesome people that would like to comment, and at the very least I look forward to getting to ramble somewhere. Now I must leave you. I have a raging cold that has rendered me useless, so I'm going to go have some fried chicken soup or something like that. :p
